Plant Coordinator
Contract Duration/Type: Permanent
Location: Ringaskiddy
39 hours per week
Overview of the Role:
The Plant Coordinator will be part of the Veolia site team at the client’s site in Ringaskiddy. He/she will liaise with the contract team, client engineering, equipment vendors and service providers to ensure maximum uptime of utilities plant and equipment within the contract scope, and that equipment is following all regulatory, statutory and client corporate requirements.
Day to Day of the Role:
Day-to-day relationship with Veolia Site Planner/Scheduler, with client engineering managers and representatives.
Liaising with, and co-ordination of Service Providers and suppliers on site.
Supervision of Service Providers for Utility plant maintenance within the FM contract.
Compliance/quality engineering – recording and investigation of deviations on qualified utility plant and equipment, using client’s quality system.
Continuous improvement of contract delivery on site.
Liaise with site Quality to prepare and participate in internal and external audits.
Compliance will be expected to be involved in plant issues (deviations, safety incidents etc.) across the site and potentially off site. This will also include trouble-shooting and high-level investigation of all related plant equipment faults and failures.
He/she will ensure that all maintenance, preventative and unplanned, of assigned equipment/systems is completed on schedule, within budget, in a safe and satisfactory manner and all necessary documentation completed.
Supporting site contract maintenance team in minimizing downtime and risk of downtime to facility.
Updating of utilities related standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Identifying, liaising with, and, where appropriate, co-ordination of third-party contractors and suppliers on site.
Liaising with contract team and client to review maintenance programme, and effecting changes to methods and procedures where appropriate
Management of audit action items generated from various site, corporate, cGMP and EHS audits, relevant to equipment in scope
Ensure that all work on site is carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Veolia EHS rules and guidelines.
Be responsible for his/her training curricula and ensure missing requirements are completed and up to date.
Required Skills for the Role:
Essential:
Degree or equivalent, preferably process or engineering, with three years post graduate experience, or
Trade qualification (National Craft Cert, City & Guilds or Equivalent), with ten years post apprenticeship experience,
Compliance/ Quality – experience with recording and investigation of deviations, safety incidents etc.
Self-motivation, ability to work alone and as part of team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Computer Skills (Excel, Word etc)
Desirable:
Six Sigma qualification
Experience in a Supervisory role
Experience in maintenance Planning and maintenance Computer system Vacuum, automated control systems (other than BMS).
Knowledge and experience of CMMS
