Policing and Community Safety Partnerships (PCSPs) are statutory local bodies with defined responsibilities in relation to policing, crime reduction, and community safety. They were established under the Justice Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 and operate in each council area. The role of the PCSP Co-ordinator is to ensure the effective delivery of the Antrim and Newtownabbey PCSP Strategy and Action Plan, providing strategic leadership, operational management, and programme oversight.

The postholder will lead the PCSP team, ensuring objectives and key performance indicators are achieved, and manage significant budgets. The Co-ordinator will also act as the main point of contact for statutory agencies, funders, and community stakeholders, ensuring compliance, accountability, and robust governance. This role requires professional engagement with PCSP Members, elected representatives, and the wider public, promoting confidence in policing and community safety initiatives.
