The Role

We are looking for a individual to become part of our dynamic and close-knit team, providing comprehensive portering services in support of hospital staff, patients, residents, and the public. In this vital role, you will assist with the safe and efficient movement of service users, equipment, and supplies throughout the hospital, ensuring that all services are delivered with compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail, in line with our Mission and Values.

As a key member of the team, you will uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, service, and health and safety, while ensuring all work aligns with the values, policies, and procedures of Marymount University Hospital & Hospice. This is an essential position that directly contributes to the smooth running of hospital operations and the delivery of high-quality care.

Eligibility Criteria

• Ability to use Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work to own initiative.
• Can cover all shifts as required (including weekend working)
• Demonstrate an understanding of the application of the core values of Marymount University Hospital & Hospice.
• Education to Leaving Certificate level or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Full clean Irish drivers licence.
• Two years’ experience of working with the general public or in a similar role.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of working in a customer service or patient centred environment.
