About the Role

Legacy Communications is seeking a motivated, creative and enthusiastic PR & Social Intern to join our Consumer Division on a three-month internship. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to gain practical experience within a leading communications agency, supporting the delivery of integrated public relations and social media campaigns across a diverse portfolio of consumer brands.

Working alongside our experienced PR and Social team, the successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in media relations, content creation, influencer engagement, event support and digital communications while developing a strong understanding of the fast-paced world of consumer public relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Consumer PR team in the delivery of integrated PR and social media campaigns.
  • Assist with drafting press releases, media alerts, briefing documents and other communications materials.
  • Conduct media and industry research to support campaign planning and client activity.
  • Build and maintain media lists and assist with media outreach.
  • Monitor print, broadcast, online and social media coverage and prepare coverage reports.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of media events, product launches and promotional activities.
  • Support influencer identification, outreach and campaign administration.
  • Assist with the creation and scheduling of engaging content across social media platforms.
  • Monitor social media activity and report on engagement and campaign performance.
  • Support the Consumer Division with day-to-day account administration and project coordination.
  • Attend internal meetings, brainstorming sessions and client events where appropriate.
  • Carry out general administrative duties to support the wider Consumer team.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Media or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in consumer PR, communications and digital marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Desirable

  • Experience creating content for social media platforms.
  • Familiarity with Canva or similar design software.
  • Basic understanding of media relations and influencer marketing.
  • Experience using Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok.
  • Photography, videography or basic video editing skills.
  • Knowledge of media monitoring and reporting tools.
