Practice Development Nurse
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Practice Development Nurse to join our dynamic and supportive team, dedicated to providing outstanding care for patients and residents at Marymount University Hospital & Hospice. As an essential member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in leading and embedding high-quality, evidence-based nursing practice across the organisation.
In this rewarding and influential position, you will lead quality improvement initiatives, coordinate education and training, and drive meaningful change in nursing practice. You will work closely with nursing, medical and allied health professionals, helping to ensure that care standards continuously evolve in line with best practice, regulatory requirements and the needs of those in our care.
Your contribution will be integral to maintaining and advancing the high standards of care that define Marymount University Hospital & Hospice. All aspects of your work will reflect our core values, policies, and procedures, directly supporting our mission to deliver exceptional, holistic care that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients, residents and their families.
Essential Criteria
- Be registered in the General and/or Psychiatric division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) AND
- Have a minimum of 5 years post-registration nursing experience, of which a minimum of 2 years in clinical practice management, practice development, education, or quality improvement.
- Hold a relevant postgraduate qualification at Level 8 or higher on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) in nursing, healthcare quality, practice development, education or a related discipline, or demonstrate equivalent relevant experience AND
- Demonstrate evidence of leading or contributing to quality improvement, clinical audit or practice development initiatives AND
- Candidates must have the personal competence and capacity to properly discharge the duties of the role.
A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.
