What you will do
The Principal Value Engineer executes assigned project elements with an emphasis on should cost and value engineering for sustaining projects.
Employ project management and engineering experience to analyze part and portfolios for cost and other opportunities for savings
Drive Should Cost modeling
Drive Supplier Gemba to identify cost improvement opportunities.
Learn and practice use of value engineering tools and templates to drive consistency across all efforts
Own and manage functions of value engineering analysis and produce outputs
Co-lead should cost sprints in focus categories or across categories
Liaise with various functional stakeholders to get inputs into building should cost models
Drive excellence throughout the agile cost sprint execution
Codify learning into organizational best practices
All other duties as assigned

What you will need
Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
A minimum of 8 years of relevant/related experience required
High level of PC Skills required - power BI experience preferred.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product and process design required
Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have the ability to understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
Experience in an FDA regulated or regulated industry- preferred
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt / Statistics SME - preferred
