What is the Role:
This role provides senior leadership for the execution, coordination and ongoing delivery of AIB’s Private Banking strategy and proposition. You would be responsible for translating strategy into sustained business outcomes and for leading the day-to-day orchestration of strategic initiatives across the Private Banking business. It carries broad responsibility for driving execution, resolving delivery issues, progressing dependencies and ensuring momentum across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.The role works in close partnership with the Head of Private Banking and the Private Banking management team.
Key Accountabilities
1. Strategy Execution & Business Delivery
- Lead the execution and delivery of the Private Banking strategy, ensuring agreed priorities are progressed, implemented and embedded across the business.
- Translate set strategic objectives into actionable delivery plans, milestones and outcomes.
- Take ownership of the day-to-day management of strategic and change initiatives.
- Act as the primary escalation point for execution issues, interdependencies and delivery risks, resolving these proactively across stakeholders.
- Ensure consistent pace, focus and follow-through across all PB strategic and change initiatives.
2. Proposition Ownership & Implementation
- Hold end-to-end responsibility for implementation and in-life management of the Private Banking proposition.
- Ensure proposition components are effectively launched, embedded and reviewed across channels, teams and customer segments.
- Drive ongoing enhancement of the PB proposition based on customer insight, performance data and market developments.
- Ensure proposition changes deliver intended customer, commercial and operational outcomes.
3. Cross-Bank Coordination & Governance
- Act as the central coordination point between Private Banking and key internal stakeholders including Proposition, Products, Compliance, Finance, Risk, Digital, Brand & Marketing and Data.
- Own governance pathways for PB initiatives, ensuring timely progression through GPP/GCC, regulatory approvals and internal decision forums.
- Prepare, coordinate and deliver senior-level papers, updates and recommendations for ELT and other governance bodies.
- Ensure strong delivery discipline, control and transparency across all PB initiatives.
4. Operating Model, Digital & Performance Oversight
- Lead implementation of agreed operating model enhancements across Private Banking.
- Oversee prioritisation and delivery of PB-related digital initiatives and enhancements.
- Establish and track delivery KPIs and benefits realisation, ensuring accountability for outcomes.
- Provide regular, structured reporting on progress, risks and dependencies to the Head of Private Banking.
5. Leadership Support & Business Management
- Step in as required to represent the Private Banking business in internal forums and stakeholder engagements.
- Contribute to leadership decision-making, prioritisation and capacity planning across PB.
- Act as a senior leadership presence within Private Banking, providing support, guidance and direction to senior colleagues.

The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with disciplined delivery, strong cross-bank stakeholder leadership and the ability to turn complex priorities into sustained outcomes for Private Banking.
- Commercial and Operational acumen and understanding of High-Net-Worth customer needs
- Ability to implement all facets of strategic change, aligning and influencing diverse stakeholders, and navigating approval pathways.
- Comfort producing high quality executive papers and a performance management orientation to delivery objectives.
- Governance, risk and control discipline maintaining delivery transparency (risks, issues, decisions, actions).
