We are now seeking Procurement Executive to join the Procurement Team at our Head Office in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. This role requires onsite attendance four days per week. Please apply only if this arrangement suits your circumstances.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Support and strengthen the Packaging Procurement team, working closely with Commercial, R&D and Quality. Support C&D site requests relating to new packaging requirements, briefs and quality issues, while liaising between site teams and suppliers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • General Group Procurement support – support site queries, tenders, issues, data requests etc.
  • IBG (International Buyers Group) review
  • Packaging project boards / weekly meetings: update of minutes and circulation of actions. Pushing projects with suppliers through the sites, from conception to final approvals (cost savings, packaging improvements etc.)
  • AVL (Approved Vendor List) support – Working with Group Packaging Development Team to support packaging AVL. Maintaining correct documentation in place – checked twice a year and through audit - BRC etc.
  • Print approvals: Supporting R&D & Commercial teams on customer print approvals. Monitoring conversations and raising any issues / concerns – following up with the suppliers as needed.
  • Manage weekly procurement meeting. Maintaining minutes – circulating and actioning outstanding querie
  • Pet Specialist Lead: Main procurement support for pet specialist customer
  • Ad hoc tasks as directed by Procurement management team.

PERSONAL COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in MS Excel – to report and present on support cost savings, tenders etc.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to present reports and figures to all levels of audience.
  • Confidence in conversations with suppliers / customer – to challenge and persevere in price negotiation and work confidently with suppliers to resolve issues as they arise.
  • Develop strong internal and external relationships
  • Good knowledge of all packaging formats, process to manufacture the packaging etc.
  • Cross function knowledge of pet food production
