Production Operative

Sheridans Cheesemongers is looking for a Production Operative.

It is the operative's responsibility to handle products that go through the production room in multiple formats to handle, wrap, label and box them to the highest standards. The operative will also be responsible for the daily maintenance of the production room and storage area including but not restricted to thorough cleaning, and date rotation. An important part of the operative responsibility is to ensure the record keeping for both product and packaging is completed to the highest standards in accordance with Sheridans HACCP policy. 

Production Operative Responsibilities:

• Cut, wrap and labelling of products going through the production room as outlined in the production room manual and in accordance with Sheridans training. 
• Maintaining the stock level on products.
• Ensure that stock rotation is always following the first in first out (FIFO) policy with regards to the mother product and final stock items.
• Maintain food safety standards required in Sheridans HACCP policy. 
• Maintain product traceability through correct use of batch codes and labelling procedures 
• Work in a fast paced sometimes crowded environment with tact and patience. 
• Ad hoc duties assigned by Head of Operations, Warehouse Manager or Team Leader. 

Requirements:

• HACCP Level 2 preferable but not essential.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Good teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to self motivate and communicate with team members.
• Maintain a high attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, sometimes crowded environment with tact and patience.
