At Almac, we’re committed to advancing human health through precision, collaboration and innovation. We are currently seeking a Production Planner to join our Clinical Services team in Craigavon.
This is a key role within Secondary Production, responsible for developing and maintaining robust production schedules to ensure customer timelines are met while making best use of available resources.
The Role
As Secondary Production Planner, you will play a central role in coordinating production activities, analysing performance data, and working closely with cross‑functional teams to support the successful delivery of clinical supply operations.
You will ensure production plans are realistic, achievable, and aligned with customer demand, while maintaining compliance within a GMP-regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with Business Development and Project Services to understand customer requirements and timelines
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, advising where additional hours or resources may be required
- Provide weekly forward‑looking plans to:
- Label Control, Warehouse and Project (jobs starting in the next 7 days)
- Production (jobs completing in the next 7 days)
- Work closely with Label Control and Warehouse to ensure resources are available when required
- Monitor project progress against schedule and update plans as required
- Collect, analyse and assess production and team performance data
- Prepare reports on production processes and efficiency for senior management
- Chair weekly cross‑functional scheduling meetings with key stakeholders
- Provide Finance with monthly reports of completed operations and support with any follow‑up queries
Essential Requirements
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C or above
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively on own initiative and as part of a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer literacy and accuracy
Desirable Requirements
- HND or Diploma in a subject including Mathematics, Statistics or Business Studies
- Experience in a Planning or Scheduling role
- Experience working within a GMP‑regulated environment
- Experience using MRP systems
- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
- Knowledge of manufacturing or pharmaceutical packaging processes
