Production Planning Assistant

The Job

Reporting to the Planning Supervisor, you will work as part of the Production Planning Team and will be responsible for ensuring key materials are provided to meet the production schedule. As part of the role, you will also be required to cover for Planning & Logistics Co-Ordinator when necessary.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Receiving, quality inspecting and storing of labels
• Issuing & returning of the labels according to the production schedule
• Assist with KPI measuring that includes Label OTIF & scrap
• Stock control of labels
• Assist in making printing plates as and when required

The Person The successful candidate should:

• Be educated to GSCE level or equivalent in Mathematics and English
• Have warehouse experience preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Be computer literate
• Demonstrate & have experience of good stock management principles
• Be able to work independently with a high level of accuracy
• Have well developed inter-personal and communication skills
• Have drive, energy and determination to achieve goals
• Awareness of good health and safety practices

Whilst not essential, it would be advantageous to your application to have a valid forklift truck license, experience of an electric pallet stacker and experience in using a Warehouse Mgt system, an ERP System and MS Office. Ideally the candidate will have knowledge & experience which can be applied in this role. Additional training will be provided where appropriate. Working hours will be:

• Tuesday – Saturday 07.30am – 16.00pm
