Production Team Leader

Carleton Cakes are currently recruiting for a Production Team Leader to join our busy production department. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can successfully lead and motivate a team within our fast-paced food manufacturing environment to ensure that targets are achieved, and the quality of products is upheld at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise & organise team personnel to ensure that daily targets are met and production schematics are followed in an efficient manner.
• Observe operations and ensure that product quality standards are communicated, implemented and maintained.
• Develop an understanding and working knowledge of all production equipment including production line set up to ensure relevant procedures are followed and equipment is operating correctly.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and industry standards, ensuring that the company is always audit-ready. This includes adhering to HACCP, GMP, and the Company Hygiene Code of Practice.
• Provide training and support for new starters and existing employees as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in supervising and/or leading a team (essential)
• Previous experience in food production/manufacturing (essential)
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize
• Good communication skills to motivate and enthuse staff
• Be able to communicate fluently in English (written & spoken)

Shift Patterns:

• Monday - Friday
• Rotating weekly: 6am - 2pm / 2pm – finish
