Position Description

The role of Programme Management, ESB Networks is to manage the delivery of work programmes within regulatory funding, ensuring that work programmes are prioritised to reflect business strategy, policies, plans and procedures for the safe and cost-effective delivery of business goals.

This role will provide an exciting opportunity to join the annual programme development team who are responsible the annual work year programmes for all delivery orgs and reporting on progress against it. The annual work plan forms a part of the overall PR6 work plan.

The role will require extensive communication and collaboration with our stakeholders including the Asset Management, Allowance Owners, EMP, Delivery Organisation, Business Performance and Delivery Assurance Organisation

Key Responsibilities

This role will include the following programme management activities and responsibilities:

  • Prepare the annual work programme in collaboration with Allowances Owners and delivery organisations
  • Manage and track delivery capacity including internal and external resources together with allocation of work. Report on progress and actual capacity utilisation
  • Manage productivity calculations and support programme build up through a data led approach of programming using capacity constraints
  • Engage with stakeholders to coordinate and monitor all Project Data requirements for the annual work programme and implement these in the Programme Model
  • Complete Detailed Analysis and identify insights on Project Information and communicate to Programme Manager
  • Work with Programme development manager to project manage programme build up including, stakeholder analysis, RAID tracking and communications with stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of annual work plans and budgets.
  • Support monthly, quarterly and annual programme reporting - monitoring the achievements or targets and progress against baseline.
  • Actively engage with change management and governance boards/processes
  • Participate in collaborative cross company teams as required to ensure continuous process improvement
  • Support regulatory performance and incentive reporting and audits.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Minimum of 3+ years' relevant work experience
  • Programme or Project Management Experience
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High level of commitment and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of IT Systems, such as: SAP, Microsoft Teams/Excel/Outlook/Word/Sharepoint, Power BI
  • Excellent analytical skills and commercial focus
  • Full clean driving licence

Desirable

  • Data Analytics skills and experience
  • Process Improvement experience

Qualifications

  • Third level qualification in business, data management/analytics or IT or relevant work experience (of a minimum of 3+ years is essential).

ESB Networks, Open to all Regions.

Reporting To

The successful candidate will report to the Programme Development Manager, ESB Networks.

Salary

€49,000 to €56,000 per annum
