Main Purpose of the Job
- To manage the co-ordination of the overall commissioning of the Council’s Capital Expenditure Programme.
- To establish and manage effective processes and support to all Council services to enable the development, commissioning, and closure of Capital Projects.
- To establish effective internal and external partnerships and processes to monitor, co-ordinate and report on the progress of Capital Projects included in the Council’s Capital Plan to the Capital Programme Management Board, the Capital Oversight Group, the Regeneration and Community Committee meeting and to any external bodies providing funding to Council projects.
- To project manage the submission of funding applications to support the strategic priorities of the Council, including completing research and liaising with a range of partners internally and externally to develop applications to a wide range of funders.
- To manage and co-ordinate effectively the assessment process for the business cases relating to all capital expenditure within the Council, ensuring all projects have a continued business justification, and follow a transparent process to justify capital investment.
- To contribute to the effective performance of the Regeneration and Planning Directorate to ensure it achieves its objectives and those of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council.
