Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role outlined in this job description are indicative of the currently envisaged scope and may be added to or altered as required, in line with the requirement of SEAI across Business Units/Department.

They will include, but not limited to, the following:

• Support the delivery of national energy policy actions including the Climate Action Plan, a key objective of the National Retrofit Directorate. This will typically involve supporting service delivery and grant management, client and supplier engagement, and ongoing programme enhancement for the Better Energy Homes grant programme.

• Support programme efficiency and effectiveness through contributing to the development and continual improvement of new and existing processes, as well as ensuring transparency and simplicity for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Create, design, maintain programme KPI reports relating to programme objectives and outcomes, performance, and trend analysis.

• Supporting on the technical oversight of the Better Energy Homes Programme including adherence to SEAI compliance requirements.

• Preparation of reports on programme performance and development through creation of Power BI Reports.

• Supporting change requirements of the IT systems.

• Supporting a transformation project to a new digital platform.

• Representing SEAI at meetings, site visits and events, including presentations and speaking engagements.

• Communication with Programme stakeholders including development of guidance materials, web content, webinars, case studies and responses to Programme enquiries.

• Continuous process improvement and lean management.

• Undertake any other duties/projects as may be assigned from time to time.

To ensure that activity peaks within the Department are addressed

in a proactive manner, it is expected that the candidate appointed

to this role will need to be flexible in terms of working hours during

these periods.

Knowledge & Skills The knowledge and skills required include but are not limited

to the following:

• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Knowledge of residential retrofitting sector.

• Data analytics and data-based approach to technical decision making.

• Knowledge of Power BI reports and dashboard reporting tools.

• Strong proactive approach to achieving results, including managing scope, time, risk assessment, and quality.

• Ability to work on own initiative and to deadlines/milestones.

• A capacity to foster a positive working relationship with colleagues and external stakeholders; to work in multi-disciplinary teams and to network effectively. Relationship development capability.

• Flexible approach to problem solving and decision making to ensure the best solution is achieved, focusing on the need for greater efficiency and effective delivery.

• Well-developed IT Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Experience and Qualifications

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• An honours degree (a minimum NFQ level 8 or greater) in a relevant area such as Engineering, Science, Business, Project Management or other relevant discipline and minimum of 3 years directly relevant experience working in customer service or business process environments.

OR

An ordinary degree (a minimum NFQ level 7 or greater) in a relevant area such as Engineering, Science, Business, Project Management or other relevant discipline and minimum of 5 years directly relevant experience working in customer experience or business process environments.

OR

A third level certificate (a minimum NFQ Level 6) in a relevant area such as Engineering, Science, Business, Project Management or other relevant discipline and minimum of 7 years directly relevant experience directly relevant experience working in customer experience or business process environments.

• Experience of working in cross functional teams developing organisational relationships.

• Strong project management skills and knowledge of technical development, including change management, scope, risk, and business process development.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presenting, public speaking.

• Well-developed IT skills including design presentation tools (e.g. Power BI).

• Successful track record of delivering programmes analyses.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in supporting IT projects.

• Experience of working with the housing retrofit supply chain

• Experience in developing reports and managing dashboard reporting.

• Experience of lean process management.

• Experience of working in energy-related policy environment across the public sector, academia or industry and the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proficiency in the Irish Language.

• Experience or knowledge of delivering positive customer experiences.
