As a Project & Demand Manager in the data office at PTSB, you will play a crucial role in managing and prioritising the bank's project portfolio for data and analytics work and demand pipeline. Your responsibilities include overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they align with the bank's strategic objectives and resource capabilities. You will act as a bridge between business needs and project execution, working closely with stakeholders to assess project demands, prioritise initiatives, and ensure successful outcomes. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members, third-party contractors, and consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. You will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle, fostering a culture of accountability and insight-driven progress. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping an environment where data is at the heart of strategic decision-making, ensuring that PTSB Bank continues to innovate and stay ahead in a competitive landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, stakeholder expectations, and organisational priorities.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, risk mitigation strategies, and communication frameworks to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Drive effective communication across cross-functional teams and stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable project goals and ensuring timely updates on progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Forecast and manage project resources, including the strategic deployment of business analysts based on skillsets, workload, and project complexity to optimise team performance.
- Own the project budgeting process, from drafting initial proposals to monitoring expenditures and recommending adjustments to ensure financial discipline and value delivery.
- Utilise advanced project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid models) to plan, track, and adapt project timelines and deliverables.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, IT, Management, or a related field.
- Proven project management experience, with a track record of successfully delivered projects.
- Strong experience with project management software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a similar role.
This is a permanent role based in Dublin/Cork
