There is currently 1 permanent part time (0.5 WTE) vacancy available for Project Manager for Interim Standards with Day Opportunities Services covering Carlow, Kilkenny, South Tipperary, Waterford & Wexford. The post is based in Kilkenny (base negotiable).

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Grade VII – Project Manager for Interim Standards from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Please note, the lifespan of this panel is dependent on the new restructuring within the HSE.

Purpose of the post

The Project Manager role involves supporting day service providers in implementing new directions policy, the interim standards for New Directions, the EASI (Evaluation, Action & Service Improvement) Process, the National PCP Framework and advancing local and national quality improvement initiatives.

The Project Manager is also contributing to the development of a new outcome focused monitoring approach for day services including leading out as both Lead and Support Assessor during the current trial stages of Monitoring development. Tasks and duties undertaken by the Programme Manager are directed by both National Day Service Office and Local Day Opportunities Department

Nationally the Project Manager engages with the Steering Committee for the Monitoring Process, is a member of the Voices Together forum (Advocate form inputting into the monitoring process), Chair of the Communications forum for Monitoring, and is a member of the National Interim Standards Leads and National PCP forum. Duties of the post also include promoting, developing and rolling out national quality initiatives that support that support the core values of New Directions Policy and the National Framework for Person-Centred Planning

Locally, the Project Manager, holds responsibility towards the dissemination of information on quality initiatives through forums such as the New Directions Implementation Group, The Interim Standards Leads and Person Centred Planning Leads forum and a Quality Leads Forum. Central to all quality initiatives delivered and supported by the PM are the core values of person-centeredness, community inclusion, active citizenship and high-quality service provision underpinned by good governance. Within Day Service locations the PM promotes individualized supports, advises on Person Centered Plans and Personal Care and Support Plans and links in on the maintenance of the EASI Process and annual uploads of EASI Tools by each service location.

The Project Manager is assisted in the administration of the duties of the role with support for 0.5 WTE Grade III Administrative Assistant.
