The Opportunity
Almac Clinical Services plays a critical role in supporting pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to deliver life-changing medicines to patients around the world. As part of our Project Management Office (PMO), you will join a team responsible for delivering a wide range of strategic projects across our global Clinical Services network.
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead and manage projects from initial concept through to successful completion. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our business, coordinating cross-functional teams, engaging with stakeholders across multiple sites, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
No two projects are the same. You may find yourself leading engineering, facilities, process improvement, or information technology projects, all while building strong relationships, removing barriers to success, and maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading projects from initiation, planning and execution through to closure
• Developing project plans, budgets, schedules and business cases
• Coordinating multi-disciplinary project teams across global locations
• Identifying and mitigating project risks while driving issue resolution
• Managing stakeholder expectations and providing regular project updates
• Reviewing timelines and deliverables to optimise project performance
• Maintaining project documentation and governance standards
• Supporting continuous improvement and best practice within the PMO function

What you need to be successful
We're looking for an experienced project management professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders. You'll be a confident communicator with excellent organisational skills and a proven ability to lead projects and teams to successful outcomes.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:
• A degree level qualification (or equivalent), or a combination of A-Level qualifications and significant project management experience
• Previous experience in a project management role delivering business-critical projects
• Experience leading cross-functional or multi-disciplinary teams
• The ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously
• Strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications including Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• A proactive approach to problem solving, risk management and decision making
Desirable criteria include:
• PRINCE2 or PMP certification
• Experience working within a GMP or regulated environment
• Experience delivering projects across multiple global locations
• Experience managing third-party suppliers and external resources
• Experience communicating with senior leadership and executive stakeholders
