Project Officer
The Service
Workable (NI) assists individuals with a disability or other health conditions, aged over 16 years, who want to progress into or stay in employment. We offer specialist support to best meet the needs of the individuals.
Cedar delivers the Workable (NI) as part of a partnership of disability organisations, called Supported Employment Solutions (SES).
Purpose of the Job
To work closely with disabled people in work and employers to maintain employment and achieve positive outcomes. To provide on-going advice and practical assistance to ensure the needs of both the disabled person and employer are met.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Customer
Ensure an individual development/support plan is developed and implemented for all programme participants.
· Provide support, as required, to relevant participants and employers, using the model of Supported Employment.
· Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of participants’ progress.
· Identify suitable and appropriate employment opportunities for participants and match participants to these, ensuring that appropriate supports are in place.
· Liaise and network with key referral agents to source information on specific participants.
· Regularly monitor and review participants, providing support as required both to participants, employers, and training providers.
· Liaise with families, carers and other appropriate persons or agencies involved in the support and development of participants.
Quality
· Work within the quality assurance systems within Cedar. (ISO Quality Management System)
· Ensure adherence to all health & safety and risk management processes.
· Regular monitoring and review jointly with service users and referral agents. (as required)
Financial
· Monitor and record performance of the service against activity targets via monthly update reporting.
· Work towards full occupancy to meet compliance with funders in conjunction with referral agents.
· Liaise as appropriate with DfC & DfE personnel and other partners and comply with administration procedures required.
· Work with current financial administration systems of the Cedar Foundation.
· To work as efficiently as possible in delivery of the service, implementing green initiatives and efficiency saving measures.
Learning & Growth
· To undertake the Cedar Foundation mandatory induction training.
· To attend training as identified through the training and development plan.
· Work closely with Cedar's partners in the Supported Employment Solutions (SES) consortium to share resources, knowledge, and expertise.
· To participate in improvement activity within the organisation.
· To promote the image of the organisation to the wider community.
General
· To adhere at all times to all Cedar organisational policies and codes of conduct, including smoke free policy, IT security policy, standards of attendance, appearance and behaviour.
· To participate in marketing and promotional activities to raise the profile of Cedar Services.
· Understand that this post may evolve over time and that this job description will therefore be subject to review in the light of changing circumstances. Other duties of a similar nature and appropriate to the grade may be assigned from time to time.
