Purpose and Function of Post

• To assist the Capital Contracts Manager to manage the daily operations of the Capital Projects service across Mid Ulster, to include Signage and Bus Shelters, ensuring an effective and efficient service delivery.
• To assist the Capital Contracts Manager with the design, cost and procurement of Council led Capital Projects, to include Signage and Bus Shelters for the effective management and successful delivery of a wide range of complex and diverse projects as outlined in the Mid Ulster Council – Capital Programme.
• To build and develop relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, locally and nationally to ensure the long term sustainability of the Council’s Capital Projects.

Please note: This post has been determined to qualify for “lump sum mileage” as an Essential Car User, in accordance with the Council’s Travel and Subsistence Policy

The Council may retain a list of reserve candidates arising from this recruitment campaign, for any vacancies which may arise which are the same or similar and are of an equal grade of pay. This list will be valid for 12months. “Another similar vacancy” is defined as a post with a similar job description and person specification and on the same salary scale, which may be in a different department or duration to the vacancy initially advertised. Another similar vacancy does not include posts where the similarity relates solely to the salary scale.
