Project Worker, Children And Parent Support

Child and Parent Support (CAPS) seeks to support families to improve the chances of positive outcomes for families and young people in need.

CAPS is an Early Intervention Family Support Project to support children aged 8-13 years (and their families) who are:
Deemed vulnerable to poor outcomes in terms of the eight parameters of wellbeing set out in the Children’s Services Cooperation Act and draft Children’s Strategy 2017-2027.
Are experiencing difficulty in the education system, at home or in the community
The service aims:
To deliver personalised, evidence-based interventions for families with young people between the ages of 8-13 years in the Southern Trust area.
To support families with young people between 8-13 years old displaying on-going challenges within the home, school and community settings. This support includes delivering one-to-one, evidence-based support to ensure positive long-term outcomes.
To work in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure families with children between 8-13 years old are signposted to support services as appropriate.
To utilise an inclusive tool to assess family baseline and measure distance travelled.
