Project Worker, Tenancy Support and Settlement Service

The purpose of this role is toprovide supports to households that are at risk of becoming homeless, or experiencing homelessness, in order to assist them to occupy accommodation and sustain independent living.

What you will do:

• Work within the objectives, policies, procedures, and best practice standards of Focus Ireland, including Health & Safety requirements.

• Manage and support a caseload of approximately 20–25 households, delivering person-centred support programmes tailored to individual needs.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop, implement, monitor, and review support plans and care plans in consultation with customers.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records and documentation using Focus Ireland systems and procedures, including PASS.

• Work collaboratively within amulti-disciplinary and multi-agency frameworkto coordinate statutory and support services that meet customer needs.

• Build and maintain effective professional relationships with community agencies, accommodation providers, support services, and other key stakeholders.

• Advocate on behalf of customers to access appropriate services, resources, and supports.

• Provide intensive one-to-one support, including lone working in community settings, remote locations, and customers’ homes, in line with agreed service standards.

• Support customers to sustain their tenancy/accommodation, with a focus on rent management, property upkeep, cleaning standards, anti-social behaviour, and dispute resolution.

• Safeguard customers by identifying and reporting Child Protection concerns and promoting health, safety, and welfare at all times.

• Attend and actively contribute to supervision sessions, case reviews, team meetings, organisational meetings, and relevant training and development activities.

• Undertake additional duties as reasonably assigned by the Line Manager, contributing to service development and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will need:

• A Third Level qualification at degree level in the area of social care i.e. youth work, social studies, addiction, psychology, etc and/or be a CORU registered Social Care Worker.

• Full drivers licence and use of a car.

• 2 years direct experience in the social care field.

• A working knowledge and understanding of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention model.

• Experience of working with customers who have co-existing conditions.

• Excellent report writing and strong IT skills.

• Ability to work well in a team environment, social care based or clinical disciplines.

• Experience of working and liaising with other organisations.

• Knowledge and understanding of the complex needs of homeless and hard to reach customers.
