THE ROLE
The Creative Ireland Projects Coordinator will be a member of the Arts Services team
and will be based in the Arts Office reporting to the Council’s Arts Officer. He/she will
support the development and delivery of Cork County Council’s Creative Ireland annual
programme. The role includes general administrative duties, assisting in project
development, implementation, documentation and report writing as required. The role
will also include interaction with external agencies, local community organisations,
artists and the general public.
DUTIES
The duties may include but are not limited to the following and the post holder may be
required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post which may be assigned to
him/her from time to time and to contribute to the development of the post while in
office:
i. To support Cork County Council in the ongoing development and delivery of the
Cork County Creative Ireland Strategy 2017-2022.
ii. To support the work of Cork County Council’s Culture Team, a cross
departmental unit which oversees the implementation of the Cork County
Creative Ireland programme.
iii. Based within the Arts Office, to assist in the administration of arts projects,
programmes and tasks under the Creative Ireland Programme that will be
assigned from time to time at the discretion of the local authority.
iv. Work with the Library and Arts Service to support and implement an effective
communications strategy for the Cork County Creative Ireland programme 2020-
including the annual Cruinniu na nOg programme.
v. To deal with enquiries from artists, community bodies and other relevant parties
in relation to the operation of the Council’s Creative Ireland programme.
vi. To assist in the gathering and archiving of documentation of all projects funded
under the Creative Ireland programme.
vii. To assist the delivery of the Cork County Creative Ireland programme to a high
artistic standard, within budget and within prescribed timeframes as determined
by the local authority and Creative Ireland.
viii. To assist in the collation of written administrative reports relating to the Creative
Ireland programme arts as may be required by Council Management, designated
committees of the local Authority and the Creative Ireland national team.
ix. To assist in Council compliance with all regulations relating to procurement of
services, management of budgets and health and safety.
x. To engage with the public, artists and members of the community in a
professional manner at all times.
xi. Any other duties that may be required by the local authority in the delivery of its
Creative Ireland remit.
The salary for the post is €28,753 basic per year
