EAST LIMERICK Children’sSERVICES, LIMERICK

PERMANENT PART-TIME CONTRACT (17.5 Hours Per Week)

Salary: € 62,596 -€ 107,162 * (lsi)

*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

Avista in partnership with the HSE are lead agency of East Limerick Children Services, a Children’s Disability Network Team in Limerick. We are looking for candidates who are committed to supporting children with complex disability needs and their families, in a family and person centred, community based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our core values and ethos and underpinned by quality, best practice and research.

As a Basic Grade Psychologist, you will join the 0-18 children’s disability network team and be engaged in practice routed in a family centred practice approach. You will be working within a highly motivated team and contribute to collaborative working with children and families and the team. You will provide services in line with interdisciplinary approaches in relation to interventions and assessments. ELCS CDNT is operated based on principles of Progressing Disability Services within Ireland.

Essential:

· An appropriate post-graduate professional qualification recognised by the Psychological Society of Ireland in Psychology.

· Their qualifications validated by the P.S.I. or other relevant professional body, with proof of validation submitted with the application, if the applicant qualified outside the Republic of Ireland.

· Training and experience of administering assessment tools including ADI-R and/or DISCO; ADOS/BOSA.

  • Full clean manual Irish driving licence.
  • Proficiency in the English language.

Desirable:

  • Desire to support people to live their best lives and commitment to promoting the active engagement and participation of Service Users in their local communities.
  • Willingness to support persons to develop skills and competencies around identified areas of interest and

learning.

Applicants should possess Level 1 behavioural competencies of Avista competency framework.
