Clinical Psychologist: The 13 -point salary scale for the post as of 01/06/2026:
€63,222, €67,244, €70,102, €73,088, €76,057, €78,998, €82,704, €87,056, €92,207, €97,424, €101,673, €104,951, €108,234 LSIs
New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.
Paediatrics, CDNTs 8 and 9.
Horizons is seeking to recruit two highly motivated and enthusiastic Staff Grade Psychologists for their paediatric services. The successful applicants will work within an interdisciplinary team as members of a Children’s Disability Network Team. One post is with CDNT 8 (Central Cork) based in Montenotte and the other is with CDNT 9 (North Cork City and Blarney), based in the Erinville, Western Road.
Requirements of the post:
- An honours degree in psychology together with an appropriate post-graduate professional qualification in psychology.
- Qualifications that comply with the Department of Health & Children and PSI requirements for appointment as a Staff Psychologist.
- Candidates who have trained outside of the Republic of Ireland must have their qualifications validated to work in Ireland by the Department of Health and Children at time of application.
- Have update to date permissions to work and reside in Ireland at time of application.
- Full driver’s licence and access to their own vehicle.
- Experience working as a psychologist with children with disabilities and or autism is desirable.
