We are currently seeking applications for either one or two part-time Lecturers to deliver our Bereavement & Grief Studies diploma course and Traumatology & PTSD diploma course. We are looking for enthusiastic and knowledgeable educators who are passionate about their field and committed to inspiring, supporting, and engaging students throughout their learning journey.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced practitioners or educators to contribute to the development of students by delivering evidence-informed, practical, and engaging classes that equip learners with the knowledge and skills to understand bereavement, grief, trauma, and psychological wellbeing within contemporary practice.

Details:

Bereavement & Grief Studies

Location: In-Person or live online (Sth Great Georges Street, Dublin 2)

Contract: Part-time

Duration: 10-week course

Teaching hours: 3 hours per week

Day & Times: Monday, 6:30pm – 9:30pm

Start Date: 14th September 2026

Traumatology & PTSD

Location: In-Person or live online (Sth Great Georges Street, Dublin 2)

Contract: Part-time

Duration: 10-week course

Teaching hours: 3 hours per week

Day & Times: Wednesday, 6:30pm – 9:30pm

Start Date: 23rd September 2026

Essential qualifications & Experience

Applicants should have:

• A postgraduate qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Psychotherapy, Social Work, Mental Health, Traumatology, Bereavement Studies, or a closely related discipline (minimum requirement).

• Relevant professional experience working in bereavement support, grief counselling, trauma-informed practice, psychotherapy, psychology, mental health services, healthcare, or a related field.

• Strong knowledge of contemporary theories, research, and evidence-based approaches relating to bereavement, grief, trauma, and PTSD.

• Excellent communication, presentation, digital literacy, and interpersonal skills.

• A proactive, student-centred approach, with a commitment to supporting learner engagement and professional development.

Desirable

• Previous lecturing, teaching, facilitation, or professional training experience.

• Membership of, or accreditation with, a relevant professional body (where applicable).

• Current clinical, therapeutic, research, or professional practice experience within the field.
