EZ Living Furniture was founded in Galway in 1998. We are a family run Irish retailer operating nationwide, as well as a full online shopping experience offering delivery throughout Ireland. We are the largest independent Furniture Retailer in Ireland employing over 350 people.

We are delighted to announce that we are looking for a Purchasing Administrator for furniture and accessories whose primary function is supporting the Purchasing Team from our Head Office in Galway.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and monitor Special Orders.
  • Process PO’s and confirm with suppliers.
  • Follow up on outstanding POs.
  • Confirm supplier pricing & update system.
  • Set up new products on system and communicate information to relevant departments.
  • Managing product information detail for packaging and website information.
  • Communicate and liaise with suppliers and carriers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries within lead-times.
  • Confirm and schedule deliveries.
  • Maintain & grown positive relations with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance & analyse trends.
  • Run reports with specific criteria.
  • Liaise with suppliers to correct discrepancies with quantity/quality.
  • Deal with non-supplied, under orders, over orders and damaged goods
  • Support the Stock Control Team.
  • Generate payment packs and schedule with accounts.
  • Interacting and assisting with other key areas of the business. E.G. Sales, accounts, customer service & marketing.
  • Manage aftersales, product warranty claims and part requests.
  • Compliance responsibilities for the purchasing function ensuring that all records are kept up-to-date. (Excel, spec-sheets)
  • Create inbound stock transfers and update live shared files.
  • General Administration – Email/Phone queries, requesting quotations & data entry.
  • Request and distribute product swatches.
  • General ad hoc duties

Skills and Experience

  • Comfortable working on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organisational & communication skills are essential to this role.
  • Possess a pro-active approach to work and problem solving.
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
