QC Packaging Technican

Job Overview

Applications are invited for the position of QC Packaging Technician, reporting directly to the QC Packaging Supervisor. The successful candidate will be based within the Component Packaging section and will be responsible for the testing of all Primary and Secondary Packaging components received into Norbrook Laboratories Ltd.

Main Activities/Tasks
  • The testing of receipts of packaging components for full compliance to the approved internal specifications.
  • The generation of Packaging Component Specification documents. 
  • Maintenance of complete and accurate documentation in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • The control and maintenance of the system for the recording and storage of retention samples. 
  • The responsibility to approve and control the issuing of Working Copy Documents for the recording of data within the GMP environment.

Essential Criteria:
  • Educated to a minimum of GCSE level standard or equivalent, with passes in English, Maths and a science subject
  • Self-motivated, proactive and possess excellent organisational and motivational skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines. 
Desirable Criteria:

At least 2 years' experience working within a GMP environment.

Duration: Full Time Permanent

Location: Newry

Additional Information:
  • This role will be based in a site that produces and handles penicillin, and as such, this role would not be suitable for those that have a penicillin allergy.
