Additional Information:Applicants should be able to provide proof that they have a right to work in the UK at the time of their application. Applications are invited for the position of QC Sampling Technician in the Quality Control Department. The successful candidate will be based within the warehouse areas within our Newry Facilities
Main Activities/Tasks
- Sampling and labelling of incoming raw materials and the completion of all associated documentation.
- Maintain complete and accurate records and documentation in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines
- Ensuring general cleanliness and tidiness of workspace.
- Logging in of samples into the appropriate log book.
- Any other duties as deemed necessary by management.
Essential Criteria:
Applicants must therefore demonstrate the following essential criteria on their application form in order to be considered:
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above or 2 years experience in manufacturing environment.
- 2 years experience in manufacturing environment.
- Good planning and organisation skills
- Good communication skills, oral and written
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and record results so they are clear and legible
- Flexibility to work shift patterns (6am-2pm and 2pm-11pm)
Due to the nature of the role preference will be given to applicants demonstrating the following desirable criteria:
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Requirements while working with Chemicals.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
- Hold a valid forklift licence
