The Role

In this role you will be responsible for maintaining & developing the Quality System documentation in accordance with internal and customer standards. And providing support all areas of the QA department where required.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lab coordination for samples and communication, including scheduling, sampling, and result monitoring/reviewing of all lab results. Sharing of completed testing for sign off., communication of out od spec results & subsequent resampling. 
  • Lead the weekly micro review & action tracker 
  • SAP: PO creation and receipt
  • Safefood 350 administration - Monitoring and other record creation. 
  • QC support during absence & holidays - Review of records when needed, visual reviews of areas & record completion
  • Supplier approvals, including spec requests, new certs etc Annual SAQ sign off 
  • Completion of weekly dashboard & monthly reports
  • Calibrations tracking – scheduling & certification upkeep
  • Hygiene review & tracking of high cleaning 
  • Cleaning validations management when due.
  • Pest control recommendations review and close outs.
  • Monthly sensory WIBIT prep, scheduling and reviews.
  • Complaints management when required.
  • Risk assessment, SOPs and other controlled documents reviews.
  • Audit involvement: Pre-audit document compilation, Traceability exercises for audits & presentation of micro aspects of audits to the auditor
  • Internal audits.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Knowledge of auditing, quality standards and systems, quality management techniques such as HACCP, Process Control and knowledge of food legislation and legal procedures desirable.
  • Excellent communication & organisational skills.
  • Excellent English (written & spoken)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and an ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships between the quality function and other functions, customers, and suppliers.
  • Competency in MS Office to include word and excel.
  • Qualification in a scientific food discipline is desirable
