Quality Assurance Technician

Responsibilities:

• Monitor incoming raw materials, inspect raw material and ensure the product complies with raw material specifications;
• Ensure temperature of incoming product, product during processing and the temperature before the product is despatched is recorded in accordance with customer specifications;
• To ensure all relevant microbiological swab testing, sniff testing and any other relevant tests are conducted and recorded according to company standard;
• To ensure all aspects of customer specifications are adhered to and ensure all packaging materials are correct and fit for purpose;
• Ensure all necessary daily records and paperwork is completed in a timely manner as required by the company;
• Ensure Customers’ audit protocol is strictly adhered to throughout the site and maintain compliance with Company policies and auditing standards;
• To ensure samples are taken at specified intervals and adhere to standards for laboratory testing.

Candidate Requirements:

• A minimum of two years experience in a similar role;
• Good time management and organisational skills;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Experience of customer audits;
• Highly organised, with efficient time management and ability to prioritise workload.

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Food Science/Food Technology qualification;
• Knowledge of quality management systems/food safety;
• Experience of leading customer audits.
