Quality Assurance Technician(Maternity Cover)

​​​​​​​Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all production activities are completed in line with defined quality and food safety specifications;
  • Carry out routine quality and food safety checks, including weekly hygiene audits;
  • Collect, prepare, and submit product samples to external laboratories for testing;
  • Conduct internal audits in accordance with BRC, customer, and company standards;
  • Maintain and continuously improve site quality systems, including SOPs, supplier management; specifications, and internal audits in line with HACCP and legal requirements;
  • Assist in the investigation of non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions;
  • Review, maintain, and update the Quality Management System (QMS), supporting the implementation of a cloud-based QMS.
The Person:
  • A minimum of one year’s experience in a food manufacturing or quality control environment, or a relevant third-level food qualification;
  • Working knowledge of BRC, Tesco and other retailer standards;
  • The ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision and work as part of a team;
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills;
  • Have excellent attention to detail and maintain accurate, well-organised records. 
Preference will be given to candidates with:
  • Internal audit trained, with experience conducting internal audits;
  • HACCP Level 3;
  • Experience of online traceability systems.

The role is Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Occasionally, you may be asked to support our second site in Moy, and some flexibility with hours may be needed to cover holiday periods.
