Quality Engineer, Systems

The role:
  • Create and Implement Quality procedures, work instructions, records and other related documents
  • Maintain a document control system for Quality system documentation
  • Ensure processes and respective documents conform to TS16949, QSB, Q1 and VDA requirements
  • Control and maintain a system for the calibration of measurement equipment
  • Source and purchase replacement measurement equipment as and when necessary
  • Maintain a list of Poka Yoke devices used in manufacturing departments
  • Lead and conduct Internal system, process and product audits
  • Lead and coordinate customer audits on site
  • Coach and mentor Internal Auditors
  • Support External auditing programmes
  • Track progress of Customer and Internal 8D corrective and Preventative Actions

    Essential Criteria:
    • Third level qualification in an engineering/ technical discipline.
    • Candidates with a lesser qualification, significant relevant experience and a demonstrated commitment to personal development will also be considered.
    • IT literate, and proficient in the use of MS Excel
    • Working with and setting up Quality Management Systems
    • Application of problem solving techniques
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
    • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
    • Ability to work effectively on own initiative and effectively contribute within a team environment
    • Ability to see activities through to completion
    • Ability to interact effectively with both managerial and operational levels

    Desirable Critieria:
    • Lead auditor certification for ISO / TS16949
    • Knowledge of PFMEA, control plans and measurement system analysis
    • Experience within a manufacturing and/or customer-facing environment
