About the role

We have an opportunity at our Charleville, Co Cork site for a Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment Graduate to join us in September as part of our 2024 Europe graduate program.

This challenging program provides training and practical experience in quality and food safety activities at production facilities. Graduates will collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering departments, and build a network within the Kerry QSHE Community. The structured program involves rotation across manufacturing facilities, process technologies and products. The goal is to prepare graduates for managerial roles after the two-year program, with mentorship and leadership support provided throughout.

Key responsibilities

The QSHE Graduate Development Program offers two streams: Quality and Health and Safety. Activities will vary based on the chosen stream and may include quality and food safety projects, product and process improvements, risk assessments, and tracking key performance indicators. Participants will learn about quality and food safety systems, environmental compliance and protection systems, including ISO14001 standards, and auditing and inspections. They will also work on quality control, product specifications, analytical procedures, sampling programs, and control systems to meet consumer requirements.

Qualifications and skills

  • A degree, ideally in Food Technology, Health Safety and Environmental, Science or another related field 
  • A passion for food industry, and especially for food safety and quality
  • Resilient, tenacious, and hardworking; able to operate in a fast and demanding environment.
