The role:
Conduct site specific inspection duties which may include, but are not limited to: 
Regular dimensional and visual process checks
Gauge checks 
Pallet teardowns 
Final Product signoff 
Aluminium composition analysis 
Knowledge of GD&T, able to read engineering drawings and make decisions based on findings.
Able to run pc-dmis software and use graphics display window to find features for verification and troubleshooting.
Assist the Quality Team Leaders in controlling the NCMR process. 
Maintain required records to ensure conformance to customer Quality requirements. 
Assist Quality and Manufacturing depts in efforts to reduce process variation and increase productivity. 
Practice good housekeeping and safety procedures.
Participate with team working, information sharing, 5S and Continuous Improvement Programmes.
Ensure compliance with all Company policies and systems, including the quality, health, safety and environmental policies and management systems. 
Other duties as assigned


Essential Criteria:
NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
Experience in a Quality Control Role 
Experience and knowledge of one or more of the following: 
SPC 
CMM (primarily PC-DMIS) 
Experience of using inspection equipment e.g. hard gauge, callipers, micrometres, etc.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings 
Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem solving skills 
A well-organised and methodical approach to work 
Computer literate 
Diligent, with an eye for detail 
Strong customer focus 
Strong team player

Desireable criteria:
​​​​​​​Experience within an engineering manufacturing environment, preferably die casting 
Knowledge of continuous improvement tools/techniques 
Experience and knowledge of CMM for Zeiss Calypso, or Mitutoyo MCOSMOS software
