Rapid Responder, Homecare Healthcare

Due to our super successes, Komfort Kare is expanding and looking to hire Rapid Responders in North Dublin.

To be considered for this role, you must have access to your transport, have 1+ years of experience, and be available to work long shifts from 8 am to 10 pm.

As a care provider with Komfort Kare, you will tend to vulnerable clients in their own homes providing top-quality care.

As a rapid responder, you will be tasked with attending clients who need you the most!

Job Description:

  • Travel to the residences of clients who are having difficulty coping for a variety of reasons.
  • To complete all services for that client, as specified in their individual Care Plan.
  • To encourage and motivate clients to maintain their independence.
  • To carry out personal and caring tasks as depicted in the Care Plan that would normally be carried out by the client or family.
  • To assist in maintaining a good level of personal hygiene for the client who may have difficulties in this area.
  • To work and communicate with family, relatives, local authority social service staff, Public Health Nurses/community-based nurses, and other members of the Primary care team.
  • To use equipment (hoists, gloves, etc.) provided by Komfort Kare, to assist clients in their independence, following completion of use of this equipment.
  • To assist with the management of clients’ medication, as prescribed by their GP.
  • To prepare and cook meals in the client’s home.
  • To assist with the management of money/collect pensions/shopping.
  • To assist with the laundering of client’s clothes and light domestic duties if necessary.
  • To write/read letters for the client, once consented to do so by the Client.
  • To contact emergency care services in cases of emergency.
  • To document and report to the Coordinator / Registered Manager, on the welfare of the client; and,
  • To attend all study courses organised by the Company Training Manager.

Area Of Work:

  • Balbriggan, Rush, Lusk, Skerries, Portrane, Donabate, Swords.
  • Covering surrounding areas of above.
  • Willing to occansialy cover outside of these areas.

  • Pay up to €18.50 per hour* OR go on a salary!!
  • Up to 30-40 hours a week
  • Pay weekly

Key requirements

  • 2 year experience in Health Care or social care setting
  • QQI Modules in Care Skill and Care of the Older Person
  • Full Clean driving license - Essential
  • Must have own transport - Essential
  • Fully Available from 08:00 - 22:00 for care calls
