Registrar In Neurophysiology
The successful candidate will be required to start Monday 13th July 2026.
CUH Neurology serves a large catchment area, providing excellent clinical and teaching opportunities.
As part of the clinical service, you will participate in various outpatient clinics, including dedicated epilepsy, movement disorders, neuroinflammation, and neuromuscular clinics, as well as general neurology clinics. Our friendly neurology consultants have expertise in various subspecialties, allowing you to develop your special interests.
We also run a busy inpatient and consult service, where you will encounter interesting and unusual cases daily. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in an academic rotation which includes a unique neurophysiology (no prior neurophysiology experience is required), neuropathology (brain cutting sessions) and neurosurgical (observation of a few neurosurgical procedures) learning experience. There is no on-call commitment; however, you will participate in a weekend review every few weeks, during which you will see patients with a neurology consultant during a post-take round.
Several weekly educational opportunities are available, such as Neurology Grand Rounds, journal clubs, multidisciplinary meetings, and radiology meetings, all featuring regular teaching from our neurology consultants. Furthermore, there are numerous opportunities to pursue research interests, engage in audits, or contribute to case report write-ups.
