The Opportunity

The Regulatory Affairs Specialist is responsible for supporting product commercialization, for GPN owned and contract brands, for all activities involving regulatory compliance from concept to launch. This role will play a critical role in delivery of the growth objectives of the EMEA region. 

Ensuring Product Compliance to local regulations

  • Ensure Formula, Ingredient and Label compliance as per local regulations.
  • Creation and management of Label Specification Sheets (collaborating technical and marketing information) for GPN Innovation (Branded Innovation, Product Enhancements and Line Extensions).
  • Conduct regulatory reviews of current GPN Labels/Websites and recommend changes.
  • Experience with evaluating and editing promotional materials for food and food supplements.
  • Advise on nutrition & health claims to be used on labels and on marketing material.
  • Support product notifications as per business needs ensuring supply continuity

Managing External Regulatory / Govt. bodies / Customs

  • Assist in creation of responses to regulatory agencies regarding product information or issues.
  • Securing documentation from various government agencies across the EMEA region on an as-needed basis.
  • Create product certificates and product documentation for product notification/registration where necessary.
  • Keep informed of changes to the EMEA regulatory environment.

New Product Introduction Support

  • Supporting the launch of compliant branded products according to project timelines.
  • Work closely with contract manufacturers to ensure required documentation and compliance evaluations are in place for successful product distribution and notifications.
  • Provide regulatory guidance to departments or development project teams regarding design, development, evaluation, or marketing of products.

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Prior experience gained in a Regulatory Affairs role within FMCG / Food / Nutrition / Pharma industry
  • Related regulatory experience with administering local laws and regulations
  • Experience with food supplement notifications in European Member States
  • Proven experience of working with regional / country specific regulatory bodies, government agencies, customs etc.
  • Knowledge of EU harmonized law as well as non-harmonized areas of food law.
  • Understanding of the dedicated sports lifestyle and a strong passion for building nutritional products that support this sector.
  • Experience and ability to work with a culturally diverse group of people and markets.
  • Ability to innovate and take initiatives.
  • Have the ability to research, analyse, problem solving and project management.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe products.
  • Fluency in English & a second European language beneficial
