Reservations Agent

The Award Winning Sligo Radisson Blu are currently recruiting for a part- time Reservation Agent with previous customer service experience to join our team. This role will be on a fixed term contract for the busy period for evening and weekend shifts.

The Reservations Agent / Guest Service Co-ordinator supports the Reservations and Front Office functions with the aim to maximise the hotel revenue and increase guest satisfaction by receiving, handling and processing reservations and telephone calls under the direction of the Reservations and Front Office Managers. All tasks are required to be completed in line with the hotel’s guidelines and business plan, and iNUA corporate guidelines and service concepts.

Key responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the Reservations Manager to maximise hotel revenue and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle all incoming and internal calls, make reservations, co-ordinate guest service delivery.
  • Records reservation information in the Opera system and take all messages accurately
  • Use the Res Diary system to make bookings for dining
  • Check the Perfect Reception system and handle the messages
  • Pre-blocks all special requests or VIP accommodations accurately.
  • Deals with all relevant communication in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Handles all special requests appropriately.
  • Greets guests in all manner of communication in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Attends meetings and training as required by the Reservations and Front Office Managers.
  • Accepts flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to hotel guests.
  • Continuously seeks to improve knowledge of own job function including the facilities within the hotel and iNUA Collection.
  • When advised to assist with the reception team with their daily functions.
  • Awareness of local attractions and places of importance to ensure guest queries are answered.
  • Comminucate clearly and effectively with the wider team.

Key Attributes

  • IT literate with excel capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of booking systems, and Opera is required
  • Previous experience within the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A Natural Yes I Can! attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
