Reservations Agent

The Maryborough Hotel is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Reservations Agentto join our team on a full-time basis, working 5 days over 7.

Your Role

As a Reservations Agent, you will play an important role in delivering an exceptional guest journey, from the moment a booking is made through to arrival. This role incorporates being the main contact for Wedding Room bookings, a rewarding part of the role.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing reservations via phone, email, and third-party booking platforms
• Processing new bookings, amendments, cancellations, and special requests
• Issuing booking confirmations and responding promptly to guest enquiries
• Maximising room revenue through effective sales and upselling techniques
• Reviewing daily arrivals, departures, occupancy levels, and forecasts
• Coordinating VIP and repeat guest requirements to ensure a personalised experience
• Supporting the onboarding, training, and development of new team members

What We are Looking For

The ideal candidate will be an experienced hotel reservations professional who is confident, organised, and passionate about delivering excellent service.

Essential requirements:

• Previous hotel reservations experience
• Experience using Hotsoft
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Strong administrative and computer skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
• A positive, professional, and detail-oriented approach
• A genuine passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction
