Respiratory Physiologist, Senior, General Hospital

Mallow General Hospital (MGH) is a 71 bed hospital within the HSE South West Region. 23 additional beds are opening in the second quarter of 2026, increasing capacity to 94 beds

The services provided at Mallow General Hospital include: General Surgery (including Urology and Ear Nose Throat [ENT]), General Medicine (including Cardiology, Respiratory, Gerontology and Gastroenterology), Day Procedure Unit, Endoscopy Unit, Medical Assessment Unit, Local Injury Unit, Radiology and an Out-Patient Department.

The post holder will provide pulmonary function services to wards and departments of Mallow General Hospital. The Respiratory Sleep Medical Service is a Consultant led service supported by Clinical Nurse Specialists, Respiratory Physiologist and administrative supports.

Purpose of Post

The Senior Respiratory Physiologist will be responsible for the provision of a high-quality lung function and procedures to the patients under the care of Mallow General Hospital.
