Retail Assistant

The Retail Pharmacy Assistant is responsible for advising customers on health and beauty requirements and support the day-to-day store operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Providing quality customer service when on the shop floor, by ensuring customers receive prompt and quality information
• Greeting all customers in store in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Selling and advising customers on a range of over the counter (OTC) medicines, complimentary medicines and beauty/grooming products
• Anticipating customers’ needs when recommending and/or advising on additional products that complement the products and services requested by the customer
• Managing pharmacy stock including general merchandising, administrative duties, ordering stock and pricing
• Ensuring all work areas are clean and tidy

Skills and Experience

• Experience in community pharmacy or retail environment
• Ability to form effective relationships with all stakeholders and customers
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Demonstrated commitment to the provision of quality services.
• Honesty, integrity and an understanding of the significance of confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
