At Chemist Warehouse Ireland, we're looking for a Retail Coordinator to join our team.

About the job

We are seeking a Retail Coordinator to oversee the daily activities of retail assistants, provide customers with advice on health and grooming needs, complete sales transactions accurately, and maintain a clean and organized pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with a diverse range of people, including patients and pharmacy staff

  • Sell and advise customers on a range of over the counter (OTC) medicines, complimentary medicines and beauty/grooming products

  • Assist customers with common health problems

  • To anticipate customers’ needs when recommending and/or advising on additional products that compliment the products and services requested by the customer

  • To manage pharmacy stock including general merchandising, administrative duties, ordering stock and pricing

  • Supervise and direct the activities of pharmacy staff

  • Accurately complete sales transactions

  • Manage the presentation and storage of pharmacy merchandise

  • Manage pharmacy stock, including administrative duties, ordering stock and pricing stock.

  • Minimize instances of shoplifting

  • Ensure the pharmacy is kept in a clean and tidy state, including managing window displays

  • Attend to telephone enquiries

  • Always keep customer and employee information private and strictly confidential

  • Create and maintain effective relationships with patients, customers and pharmacy staff

  • Report security risks and thefts to management and/or security guards when applicable

  • Take all reasonable care for your own and others safety and wellbeing while at work

  • Make sure you know and comply with all safety instructions and operating procedures

About you
  • Effective leadership and management skills

  • Experience in community pharmacy or retail environment

  • Strong communication skills among all stakeholders

  • Ability to form effective relationships with all stakeholders and customers

  • Demonstrated commitment to the provision of quality services

  • Honesty, integrity and an understanding of the significance of confidentiality

  • Ability to prioritise and work under pressure

  • Dedicated work ethic

  • Eye of detail and accuracy
