There is currently one permanent, whole-time vacancy available for Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Paediatric Respiratory Service at Regional Hospital Mullingar.

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Paediatric Respiratory Service from which current and future, permanent, temporary and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Purpose of Post

The post of CNM 2 has a pivotal role in service planning, co-ordinating, and managing activity and resources within the Paediatric Respiratory Nursing Service. The CNM 2 will be a highly competent, visible and experienced clinical practitioner who uses specialist knowledge and advanced skills to support the Paediatric Respiratory Service.

Eligibility Criteria

1.Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc

(a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:

(i) Are registered in the General and or Children’s Division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann) or entitled to be so registered.

AND

(ii) Have at least 5 years post registration experience of which 2 must be in an acute setting with experience in the care of Paediatric Respiratory patients or related area.

AND

iii) Candidates must demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.

AND

(b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.

Post Specific Requirements

Depth and breadth of nursing experience in the area of Paediatric Respiratory nursing as relevant to the role.
