Senior Physiotherapist In-Patient Service, Medical/Surgical Wards, Regional Hospital Mullingar.
There is currently 1.0 WTE permanent vacancy.
A panel will be formed as a result of this campaign from which current and future; permanent and temporary vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.

Purpose of Post:
· To be responsible for the provision of a high-quality In -Patient Physiotherapy service in accordance with standards of professional practice
· To work in conjunction with other team members in co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the population it serves in line with the objectives of the organisation
· To work with the Physiotherapy Manager in ensuring the co-ordination, development and delivery of a quality, client centred physiotherapy service across and between networks in the geographical area
· To carry out clinical and educational duties as required
Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications and/ or experience
.Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc
(a) Candidates for appointment must:
(i) Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU. See attached link for current approved physiotherapy qualifications
AND
(ii) Have three years full time (or an aggregate of three years full time) post qualification clinical experience.
AND
(iii) Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
AND
(iv) Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Physiotherapists Register
maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU before a
contract of employment can be issued.
2.Annual registration
(i) On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU
AND
(ii) Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
3. Health
A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
4. Character
Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
Note 1*: Section 91 candidates are individuals who qualified before 30 September 2016
and have been engaged in the practice of the profession in the Republic of Ireland for a minimum of 2 years fulltime (or an aggregate of 2 years fulltime), between 30th
September 2011 and 30th September 2016 are considered to be Section 91 applicants
under the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005.
Post Specifics:
· Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience in the clinical area:
Acute Wards/Respiratory (med/surg/neuro/geron/resp)
Demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development (CPD) in their chosen area(s).
