Purpose of the Post:

The Staff Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards for patients within the model of nursing care practiced in the clinical setting. The post holder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team in the provision of integrated care for service users.

Candidates must have at the latest date for receipt of applications for the post

Be registered, or be eligible for registration in the General Division of the Live Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland).

And

Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, (including a high standard of clinical and administrative capacity) , for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

Post Specific Requirments:

Demonstrate professional knowledge and experience in the RGN’s scope of practice in a number of areas including but not limited to:

· Nursing Procedures & Techniques

· Clinical Interventions

· Patient Observations

· Ward Management

· Medication Management

· Clinical Governance, Risk, Health & Safety

· Administration
