Purpose of the Post:
The Staff Nurse with PaediatricExperience will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards for patients within the model of nursing care practiced in the paediatric clinical setting. The post holder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team in the provision of integrated care for service users.
Eligibility Criteria, Qualifications and / or Experience:
1. Academic / Professional Qualifications and / or Relevant Experience
(a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition: -
(i) Be registered, or be eligible for registration, in the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses kept by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).
AND
(b) Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, (including a high standard of clinical and administrative capacity), for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
2. Annual Registration
(i) On appointment, practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann).
AND
(i) Practitioners must confirm annual registration with the NMBI to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
3. Health
Candidates for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
4. Character
Candidates for, and any person holding the office, must be of good character.
