UCD Special Lecturer/Clinical Tutor in Endocrinology.

During the appointment the successful candidate will, under the supervision of the Consultants, participate in and deliver a quality health care service.

Appointees will be required to actively engage in continuing professional education and development in accordance with organisational / professional requirements.

Reporting Relationship

The NCHD reporting relationship is to the Employer via Professor Shu Hoashi (UCD).

Mandatory

· Medical qualification (MB, BCh or equivalent)

· Possess MRCPI or MRCP(UK)

· Registered as medical practitioner in Ireland

· Clinical experience as Endocrinology Registrar

· Currently employed in the HSE as a medical practitioner

· Possess good IT skills.

· Willingness to adopt new procedures and undertake further appropriate training as required.

· Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.

· Ability to embrace change in a dynamic environment.

· Ability to work as an effective team member.

Desirable:

· Teaching experience.

· Postgraduate training and experience in a relevant clinical area.

· Research experience.

· Experience in the academic counselling of students.

· Experience of general and academic administration

Post Specific Related Information:

- Must have current registration with the Irish Medical Council.

- English competency exams passed to HSE requirements (IELTS or OET’s) if applicable
