Rigid Driver (C-Class Driver)

Overview of the Role: 

We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Dangerous Goods Driver to collect and transport hazardous waste materials from various locations nationwide to our hazardous waste facility in Fermoy, Co. Cork. Other ad hoc deliveries will be required in Dublin and Limerick. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and compliant transportation of dangerous goods.

Day to Day of the Role: 

• Operating a Large commercial Vehicle safely and efficiently

• Loading and unloading dangerous goods (waste)

• Working with the logistics team in planning routes 

• Maintaining Logs books and CPC hours 

• Performing and recording daily vehicle checks 

• Adherence to ADR and Dangerous goods regulations 

• Experience in securing Cargo 

• Completing transport documentation 

• Fully comply with all Health & Safety regulations and working procedures on site

Required Skills for the Role:

• Driving license up to Artic (c) 

• Minimum of 5 years driving experience (Desirable)

• ADR Licence to include packages

• Previous experience with loading dangerous goods (Desirable)

• Previous work in a hazardous environment (Desirable)

• Good customer service skills 

• Good Communication skills 

• Ability to work independently 

• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail
