Job Description

This is a permanent position. This role will be recruited on a Personal Contract.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, attend and facilitate all daa Business Unit (BU) risk workshops and risk reviews. 
  • Work with the BUs to identify, articulate and record risks, controls and mitigations.
  • Follow up on controls and mitigating actions with the Bus, and track implementation of agreed risk mitigations.
  • Ensure that all ERM reporting timelines are met and that BU risk registers are appropriately maintained and up to date.
  • Provide support and advice to the BUs on all aspects of ERM, including training on ERM software.
  • Support the development and preparation of internal and external risk reporting, which communicates risk information to internal and external stakeholders in a professional, clear and concise manner. 
  • Work with the Compliance and Risk Officer to drive continuous improvement of the ERM framework, processes and procedures. 
  • Keep abreast of the external risk environment including emerging risks, risk trends and new developments and initiatives in risk management.
  • Support all corporate governance compliance activities to ensure high standards of corporate governance are maintained. 
  • Monitor, track and report on compliance with corporate governance requirements and relevant legislation, to internal and external stakeholders ensuring information is provided in a professional, clear and concise manner. 
  • Keep abreast of developments in corporate governance and provide advice on governance matters to internal stakeholders as required.
  • Manage, coordinate and deliver on all Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and responses.
  • Ad-hoc projects and duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of corporate governance, and risk matters would be preferable.
  • Computer literate with good knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and relevant software
  • Strong and professional presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong inter-personal, influencing and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage workload to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to take on non-prescriptive matters and work through issues.
  • Strong administrative skills, highly organised with great attention to detail and a focus on high quality output.
  • High level of self-motivation and flexibility, willingness to keep up to date with evolving trends and requirements.
  • Third level or equivalent qualification in a business or related discipline
